Nolin River Getaway has a cabin about ten minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park. We use  a ferry(about 3 cars at a time) to cross Green River to arrive at the cave. Usually the ferry is not a hassle but busy. I love taking that ferry. I put it akin to a covered bridge. Not many left and very scenic. Maybe it is because you are part of the trip and involved in the adventure. The ferry has been operational but it is always a good ideal to call the hotline for infomation. (270-758-2166) Ther trip getting to the ferry is all nature views and God colored spendor, so it makes the trip to the ferry way too quick.

Fishing has been tough at times on Nolin Lake. At other times great. You know-shoulda been here yesterday! The river is an untapped fishing resource and even more so this year. Cool tempertures and high water makes this spring even more so. Kayaking and canoeing will pick up as soon as these spring rains give it a rest. Then-look out bluegill and cats. Last year I caught some fine bluegill on the river and definitely looking to repeat. I will keep you posted.
